Taylors, SC (January 25, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported just outside of Greer on Monday claimed one person’s life. The victim was later identified by authorities as Richard Lamar Breazeale.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on January 22, emergency officials were notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on Fairview Road. Authorities confirmed that the pickup truck was traveling southbound on the roadway when he became involved in a collision with an SUV and one additional vehicle in the area near Dolerite Drive. One person involved in the accident, identified as Breazeale, suffered severe injuries. He was pronounced deceased after being transported by ambulance to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
