Wilmington, NC (January 27, 2024) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that 62-year-old Kevin Yoworski lost his life as a result of a truck crash that occurred during the evening hours on Thursday, January 25.
At approximately 8:10 p.m., Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an automobile accident on US Highway 421. According to official reports, a tractor-trailer was traveling on the highway while carrying a large concrete grinder. As the vehicle attempted to make a left turn from the highway onto Interstate 140, it collided with the northbound passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as Yoworski, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. It was pronounced deceased by authorities. The driver of the truck faces multiple charges related to this accident. Some of the charges include no operator’s license, failure to yield the right-of-way, and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Investigations are currently ongoing.
