Dorchester, SC (February 13, 2024) – A 16-year-old lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Dorchester County. The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, February 12.
According to crash reports, a 2023 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on Bacons Bridge Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a 16-year-old male who was crossing the roadway near Ridge Road. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway for more than an hour while assisting. The victim was fatally injured in the accident. He was pronounced deceased by the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office. The incident is being investigated at this time.
