Charlotte, NC (February 14, 2024) – The Charlotte Police Department confirmed that a man lost his life as a result of a collision that occurred on Saturday evening in Charlotte. The police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. on February 10.
According to police reports, a man was standing next to his bicycle in the 5000 block of North Graham Street during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, 49-year-old Lamont Mcinnis was driving a Cadillac SUV on the southbound side of the roadway when he struck the man. The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the accident. He was subsequently pronounced deceased due to his injuries. Police determined that Mcinnis did not have a license at the time of the accident. He was issued a citation for driving with a revoked license following the accident. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
