Lillington, NC (February 18, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lillington area on Saturday morning claimed the lives of two people. At around five a.m. on February 17, emergency crews across Harnett County responded to the scene of an automobile accident on US Highway 421.
According to reports, two vehicles collided on the highway near a Community Road in Mamers. The incident resulted in two people becoming trapped inside of their vehicles. Firefighters responded to the crash site to remove the victims. However, both of the victims were fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. One person was injured in the accident and transported to WakeMed in Raleigh, North Carolina, for emergency treatment. The incident is under investigation at this time.
