Savannah, GA (February 26, 2024) – The Chatham County coroner’s office confirmed that 24-year-old Montanya Slusher lost her life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Savannah on Wednesday, February 21.
According to official reports, Slusher was struck by a vehicle near Ellis Square on Congress Street just after 3:00 a.m. Authorities arrived at the scene to render aid to the victim. Slusher was severely injured as a result of the accident and subsequently pronounced deceased by authorities. The driver of the vehicle, 35-year-old Nieosheia Conner, fled the scene of the accident. Connor was later arrested and is currently facing charges of murder. At this time, investigations into the accident are ongoing.
