Marietta, GA (February 29, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of a fatal accident reported early Wednesday morning, February 28. The Marietta Police Department was dispatched to the scene of the accident at around 4:00 a.m.
According to law enforcement reports, a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 75 during the early morning hours. The incident prompted the closure of the highway between Canton Road and North Marietta Parkway. The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, the victim passed away from his injuries while at the scene. Authorities remained at the scene for more than three hours as they worked to investigate the incident. These investigations are currently ongoing.
