Horry Co., SC (March 25, 2024) – A woman has lost her life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Horry County on Thursday morning, March 21.
At around eight a.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Lochwood Drive. Preliminary reports show that 44-year-old Ishia Thomas was driving her vehicle on the roadway when it collided with a second vehicle near Mill Pond Road. The incident left at least one of the involved vehicles with moderate damage, requiring it to be towed from the scene.
Thomas was severely injured in the accident. Despite medical efforts provided by responding authorities, she ended up passing away as a result of her injuries while at the scene. At this time, authorities in Horry County are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
