High Point, NC (March 28, 2024) – The High Point police confirmed that 24-year-old Michael Gerald McLaurin lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Monday evening, March 25. Officials were called to the scene of the accident at around 9:00 p.m.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2003 Honda Accord was involved in a collision with an unknown number of vehicles on College Drive near the intersection of Branch Street. As a result of the collision, the vehicle went off the roadway and collided with the building. One person involved in the accident, identified as McLaurin, was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
