Butts Co., GA (April 3, 2024) – A young child lost their life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Monday evening in Butts County. Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 7:15 p.m. on April 1.
According to official reports, a motor vehicle accident took place on Interstate 75 South. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles blocking several lanes of the road near mile marker 206. A one-year-old involved in the accident was ejected from the vehicle. The victim was fatally injured and subsequently pronounced deceased by authorities. Multiple other people involved in the crash were injured. EMS rendered aid to seven people before transporting them to area hospitals. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
