Robeson Co., NC (May 9, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Robeson County claimed the lives of two individuals. The accident occurred on Monday morning, May 6.
According to reports from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, at around 9:40 a.m., a GMC pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 41. At the same time, a Kia passenger car was traveling eastbound on the same highway. For reasons unknown, the two vehicles collided head-on near Tarheel Road. The driver of the Kia and the front-seat passenger both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased by authorities. The victims were identified as Dalton Drake Burnett and Dylan Blake Burnett. The driver of the GMC was treated for minor injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
