Dorchester Co., SC (May 14, 2024) – Emergency crews in Dorchester County were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Monday morning that claimed one person’s life. Authorities were informed of the crash at around 7:00 a.m. on May 13.
Official reports indicate that a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling south on Highway 17 alternate when it became involved in a collision with a dump truck, which was traveling northbound near South Carolina Highway 61. The motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased on site. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Thomas Price of Collegeville. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
