Spartanburg Co., SC (June 1, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle accident reported in Spartanburg County claimed one person’s life on Friday, May 31. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the accident at around 11:40 a.m.
Official reports indicate that a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided on South Pine Street near Southgate Road. Further investigations show that a pickup truck crashed into the rear of the motorcycle, causing it to spill onto the roadway. The motorcyclist, identified as 65-year-old Kenneth Wayne Reed, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
