Aiken, SC (June 4, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in the Aiken claimed one woman’s life. The accident took place at 9:00 p.m. on a Saturday, June 1.
Reports provided by the police show that 59-year-old Terri Long was crossing Laurens Street during the evening hours. At the same time, a vehicle was traveling northbound on the roadway. While proceeding through the area, the vehicle struck the pedestrian near Peach Orchard Place. Long was severely injured in the crash. She was transported to Aiken Regional Hospital, where she died from her injuries at approximately 9:30 p.m. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
