Macon, GA (June 6, 2024) – Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones has confirmed that 65-year-old Bernard Taylor lost his life as a result of an early morning fire that occurred in the Macon area. Officials were notified of the incident at around 12:10 a.m. on June 4.
Reports show fire occurred inside a home located at 363 Lincoln Avenue in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood. Authorities rushed to the scene to assist with battling the blaze. Firefighters were quickly able to take control of the situation. Authorities believe a space heater or an electrical fan may have caused the fire. One person in the home, identified as Taylor, was pronounced deceased from his injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
