According to official reports, a 66-year-old woman was struck by a patrol truck on the Nash Street Public Beach Access. The incident prompted the closure of the area, which is just north of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The woman, identified as Sandra Schutlz-Peters, sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash.
