Lowndes Co., GA (June 21, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in Lowndes County claimed one person’s life. The incident took place at around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18.
According to police reports, 27-year-old Kenneth Dezurik was walking southbound on Madison Highway, Georgia Highway 31. As he proceeded forward, he was struck by a vehicle. The involved vehicle, which is believed to be a burgundy Honda Accord, fled the scene without stopping. Dezurik was severely hurt in the crash. He was subsequently pronounced deceased by authorities.
