Iredell Co., NC (June 27, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday morning, June 26. The North Carolina Highway Patrol was dispatched to the crash at around 1:15 a.m.
According to official reports, a 63-year-old man was walking on Interstate 77. As he proceeded down the southbound side of the roadway near Exit 36, he was struck by a vehicle. The man, who was identified as Calvin Jay May, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
