Saluda, SC (June 27, 2024) – A fatal car crash reported in Saluda County claimed one person’s life on Tuesday morning, June 25. The crash was reported to authorities at around 10:30 a.m.
According to official reports, 78-year-old Warren Butler, Sr. was riding a Rough Terrain Vehicle on Highway 378 in the Saluda area. As he proceeded through the area between Columbia Highway and Barr Woods Road, he became involved in a collision with a full-sized Ford pickup truck. Butler was hurt in the crash. He was transported to Self Regional Healthcare for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that he died from his injuries after arriving. At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
