Florence, SC (June 29, 2024) – A fatal fire incident reported in Florence County claimed one person’s life. The incident was reported at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
According to official reports, a fiery explosion took place in the 1900 block of Gilbert Drive. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a mobile home with fire pouring out of it. Firefighters immediately went to work battling the blaze. A total of eight people were in the home at the time of the incident. Multiple victims were injured as a result of the fire and rendered aid at the scene. Those who required further care were transported to area hospitals. At least one person was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
