Anderson, SC (November 12, 2023) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 35-year-old Troy McConnell lost his life as a result of a motorcycle accident that occurred in Anderson.
On November 9, officers were called to the scene of a crash on Highway 247.
Investigations surrounding the crash show that McConnell was riding a motorcycle on Highway 247. As his vehicle proceeded down the highway, he collided with a deer. The impact of the collision caused McConnell to be ejected from his vehicle.
McConnell got up after the accident and attempted to leave the highway when he was struck by a car.
McConnell sustained multiple traumatic injuries as a result of the collision. He was airlifted to an area hospital. On November 11, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that he passed away from his injuries.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
