Atlanta, GA (February 22, 2024) – The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday morning, February 21. APD received calls for help at approximately 6:15 a.m.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located a man suffering from severe injuries in the area near 2043 Cheshire Bridge Road Northeast. Further investigations determined that the man was struck by a CSX train. The man was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash. CSX police and the Atlanta Police Department are investigating the incident.
