Atlanta, GA (December 13, 2023) – A 38-year-old man from Conyers lost his life as a result of a truck crash that took place in Cobb County on Sunday, December 10. At around 2:30 a.m., the Atlanta Police Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Interstate 20.
According to official reports, a white 2024 Mercedes GLE 450 was heading eastbound on the interstate when it collided with a 2023 Kenworth T680 just east of Riverside Parkway. The Mercedes then collided with a concrete wall near the Chattahoochee River.
The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 38-year-old Dewayne John, was fatally hurt in the crash. He was pronounced deceased while at the scene. No one in the tractor-trailer was injured. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
