Atlanta, GA (December 23, 2023) – One individual from Kansas City, Kansas, lost their lives as a result of a fatal crash in Atlanta on Monday evening, December 18. The crash occurred just before 8:30 p.m.
According to reports from the Cobb County Police Department, a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe collided with a 2014 Jeep Cherokee on Cobb Parkway in the area near Black Acre Trail. The impact of the crash caused the Hyundai to overturn several times before coming to rest on the passenger side. Three people in the Hyundai, identified as 50-year-old Angela Smith, 61-year-old Jimmy Smith, and 27-year-old Monique Smith, were all severely hurt in the crash. The victims were rushed to area hospitals for emergency care, along with the driver of the second vehicle. Authorities confirmed that Angela Smith died as a result of her injuries. At this time, the accident is being investigated.
