Atlanta, GA (February 20, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Collier Heights neighborhood claimed one woman’s life while leaving one additional victim injured. The accident was reported to law enforcement at around 2:15 a.m. on February 19.
According to reports provided by the Atlanta Police Department, a 41-year-old woman was driving a Subaru Impreza in the 600 block of Hamilton E Holmes Drive when her vehicle collided with a Dodge Avenger. The two vehicles came to rest, blocking several lanes of the road. Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately shut down the road. The woman involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on site. The driver of the Dodge, a 26-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
