Augusta, GA (November 18, 2023) – A fatal automobile accident reported on Thursday evening took the life of 43-year-old Tabitha Grooms. The Richmond County Sheriff’s office reported the accident during the evening hours on November 16.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a crash on Gordon Highway. Investigations show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as Grooms, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased due to her injuries. Investigations are ongoing.
