Beaufort Co., SC (July 14, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday evening in Beaufort County. The incident took place at around 9:45 p.m. on July 11.
According to official reports, 30-year-old Nathaniel James Riley was riding a 2022 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on US Highway 287, William Hilton Parkway. For reasons unknown, a Nissan SUV attempted to turn left onto Squire Pope Road in front of the motorcycle. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Riley was fatally injured as a result of the accident and pronounced deceased while on-site at around 10:10 p.m. The driver of the SUV was injured. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
