Berkeley Co., SC (April 3, 2024) – One person has lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Berkeley County on Sunday evening, March 31.
According to reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, just after 7:30 p.m., a 2017 BMW SUV and a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse were both traveling eastbound on Treeland Drive. As the Chevrolet attempted to pass the BMW, the two vehicles collided. The force of the collision caused both vehicles to go off the right side of the roadway, where they collided with a tree. One person involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional people were injured in the crash. Both victims received medical treatment on-site and were transported to area hospitals for further care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
