Charlotte, NC (May 9, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday evening in Charlotte. The accident was reported to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department at around 10:10 p.m. on May 5.
Police reports show that a Chevrolet Impala and one additional vehicle were involved in a collision in the 9500 block of Wilkinson Boulevard. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near the Gaston County line. One person involved in the accident, identified as 37-year-old Reginald Singleton, was fatally injured as a result of the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
