Colleton Co., SC (April 16, 2024) – Two people have lost their lives following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Colleton County. The incident was reported at around 9:40 a.m. on April 14.
According to official reports, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling north on Interstate 95. At the same time, a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu was also traveling northbound. For reasons unknown, the two vehicles collided near mile marker 54. The Chevrolet went off the right side of the roadway and collided with a ditch before overturning and crashing into a tree. The driver and passenger were both fatally injured in the accident. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Neither person in the Chrysler was injured. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
