Columbia, SC (October 22, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday evening in Columbia claimed one person’s life.
Just before 10:00 p.m. on October 21, the Columbia Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Interstate 77. According to official reports, a motorcycle was involved in a collision with an unknown number of vehicles while traveling on the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off the area near Percival Road.
One person involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the crash is being investigated by the Columbia Police Department.
