Fatal Truck Accidents in Georgia
Each year, tens of thousands of lives are lost in fatal crashes across the United States. Sadly, many of these tragedies occur within our own states. Far too frequently, fatal collisions are attributed to the negligent and careless behaviors of other drivers. Some of the leading factors include:
- Distracted driving: Texting or other distractions take the driver’s attention from the road ahead, contributing to fatal accidents due to compromised focus.
- Reckless driving: Aggressive actions while behind the wheel between travel lanes dramatically increase the risk of collisions taking place, which may result in fatalities.
- Running red lights or stop signs: Ignoring traffic signals at intersections increases the risk of fatal crashes taking place at these locations.
Unfortunately, when accidents involve semi-truck tractor-trailers, the chances of severe and fatal injuries are drastically increased. The size and weight of these vehicles can be significant, which amplifies the damage and injuries that they can cause during accidents. After experiencing the loss of a loved one, it is vital to act quickly to protect your rights.
