Savannah, GA (March 25, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported on Thursday evening claimed one person’s life. The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene of the accident during the evening hours on US Highway 80.
According to official reports, a Ford F150 pickup truck and a bicycle collided on the highway near Brian Woods Road. The incident prompted officials to close down the roadway for a significant amount of time. The bicyclist, identified as 30-year-old Forrest Long, was severely hurt in the crash.
