Decatur Co., GA (July 4, 2024) – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the worker who lost their life as a result of the Rentz Farm Supply accident as 46-year-old Carlos Lopez. The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on July 2.
Official reports indicate that Lopez was working inside of a grain silo while helping to repair the roof. For unknown reasons, the beam that was supporting the roof suddenly fell on top of the worker. The incident resulted in fatal injuries. Lopez was pronounced deceased immediately at the scene. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
