Fatal Car Accidents in Georgia
Motor vehicle accidents result in over 40,000 fatalities annually throughout the United States. Unfortunately, our state witnesses a significant number of these accidents, often resulting from negligence. Common contributing factors include:
- Drunk driving: Impaired judgment and delayed reactions due to alcohol consumption frequently result in deadly collisions on our state’s roads.
- Speeding: Going beyond posted speed limits poses the risk of losing control, significantly amplifying collision impact, and diminishing reaction time, leading to severe accidents and, in some cases, fatalities.
- Fatigue: Exhaustion can severely affect a driver’s cognitive function and alertness, markedly increasing the likelihood of fatal accidents.
These and other reckless behaviors consistently contribute to a notable number of fatal collisions in our state each year.
