DeKalb Co., GA (November 3, 2023) – A major fatal truck crash took place in DeKalb County on Tuesday evening that claimed the lives of multiple victims.
According to reports provided by the Georgia Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler collided on Interstate 285 during the evening hours of October 31. The incident blocked multiple lanes near the exit ramp from Interstate 285 onto Interstate 20 eastbound.
The driver and two passengers in the pickup truck were all fatally injured. Authorities declared the three victims deceased while on-site. They were identified as a 1-year-old, a 13-year-old, and 41-year-old Taraja Ramsess.
A 10-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were also injured in the crash. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
