DeKalb Co., GA (January 15, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in the cold County claimed the lives of two victims. The accident occurred on Sunday, January 14.
According to reports provided by the police in DeKalb County, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 20. The incident blocked the eastbound lanes of travel in the area just past Panola Road. A 25-year-old man involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. A 77-year-old man involved in the accident was critically injured. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. DeKalb County officials confirmed that the man passed away from his injuries later. At this time, the crash is being investigated by law enforcement.
