Edgecombe Co., NC (February 20, 2024) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol identified the three people killed in the Edgecombe County car crash on Saturday as 19-year-old Jhawaiun Drake, 19-year-old Jeremy Pollard, and 34-year-old Brittany Armstrong.
Preliminary investigations show that a pickup truck and a Saturn Vue collided on the eastbound side of US Highway 64-Alternate. Three people in the SUV were ejected from the vehicle following the accident. The victims, identified as Drake, Pollard, and Armstrong, all passed away from their injuries while at the scene. One additional passenger, 30-year-old Morgan Page, suffered critical injuries. She was airlifted and flown by helicopter to ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina, for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
