Elbert Co., GA (February 20, 2024) – The Elbert County coroner’s office confirmed that 36-year-old Michael Alan Watts lost his life as a result of a fatal fall incident that occurred on Monday morning, February 20. Authorities were called to the scene of the incident at around 7:30 a.m.
According to preliminary reports, Watts was at a quarry located off Cedar Creek Road when he became involved in a high-rise full. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office and emergency medical services, along with firefighters, responded to assist. Watts was fatally injured in the incident and pronounced deceased while at the scene. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
