Fayetteville, NC (July 27, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that 53-year-old Allan Gockel lost his life in a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday evening, July 25.

At around 9:50 p.m., Gockel was attempting to cross Cliffdale Road in the Fayetteville area. At the same time, a 2014 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on the road. For unknown reasons, the Toyota struck the pedestrian. After the initial collision, Gockel was struck by a two-door Ford Explorer. Gockel was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, he passed away from his injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
