Florence, SC (December 29, 2023) – The Florence Police Department confirmed that one person was killed in a car crash that occurred on Friday afternoon in Florence. The crash was reported to law enforcement at around 12:15 p.m. on December 29.
According to local law enforcement, a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling on Beltline Drive in the area near the Goodwill store when it crossed over the center line and struck a Dodge SUV. The force of the collision caused the pickup truck to overturn. The SUV was severely damaged due to the accident. Authorities arrived at the scene to provide care to the victims. The driver of the Dodge sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to an area hospital for emergency care. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
