Greensboro, NC (June 30, 2024) – The Greensboro Police Department confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Friday evening, June 28.
At around 8:20 p.m., a motor vehicle collision took place on North Elm Street. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a Mercedes-Benz and a Hyundai Azera blocking several lanes of the roadway in the 3800 block. The incident prompted the closure of the road just south of Lake Jeanette Road. Authorities determined that the Mercedes went off the roadway after the collision and struck multiple trees. One person involved in the accident, identified as 21-year-old Vincenzo Brevetti, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. The 20-year-old driver and one additional victim both sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The driver of the Hyundai was also injured and transported to a local hospital. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
