Greensboro, NC (April 15, 2024) – The Greensboro Police Department confirmed that a motor vehicle accident reported in downtown Greensboro claimed one woman’s life on Saturday morning, April 13.
At around 450 a.m., a 21-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on North Elm Street near East Friendly Avenue. The involved vehicles fled the scene of the crash. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway between Market Street and Summit Avenue while assisting. The pedestrian was severely hurt in the crash. Authorities confirmed that the victim later died from her injuries. The victim was identified as Xiomara Moore of Gastonia, North Carolina. Investigations into the accident are underway.
