Hall Co., GA (December 23, 2023) – A plane crash took place in Hall County on Thursday evening that claimed one person’s life. At around 5:30 p.m. on December 21, the whole County Sheriff’s office and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash near Lanier Islands Parkway.
According to official reports, a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft was involved in a collision in the area near Lake Lanier Islands. One person was on board at the time of the crash. The victim, identified as 60-year-old Howard Lee Joe, incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities closed off Lanier Islands Parkway in the area near Pine Cone Drive for an extended period as they worked to clear the scene. Investigations are currently underway by the Federal Aviation Administration.
