Hardeeville, SC (May 24, 2024) – A young child has died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in Jasper County on Tuesday morning, May 21. The police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 11:40 a.m.
Authorities confirmed that an 8-year-old child was riding a motorized bicycle in the area of Whyte Hardee Boulevard during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, they were struck by a tractor-trailer. The child sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was immediately pronounced deceased on site. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
