Harnett Co., NC (March 3, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in Harnett County claimed one person’s life on Saturday morning, March 2. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the accident at approximately 11:40 a.m.
According to official reports, a Chevrolet Impala was involved in a collision with an undisclosed number of vehicles on Lafayette Road near US Highway 401. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to go off the roadway and strike a tree. The driver of the vehicle suffered fatal injuries. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased while at the scene. The incident is currently being investigated by State Highway Patrol.
