Harnett, NC (November 30, 2023) – A fatal accident reported in the Harnett area claimed one person’s life. The accident took place just before 4:50 p.m. on November 28.
According to reports provided by the District 13 Benhaven Emergency Services, a collision occurred on North Carolina Highway 87. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway near Benhaven School Road. One person was trapped in their vehicle. The victim had to be extricated by firefighters.
One person sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on-site. Two other victims were injured. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
