Hendersonville, NC (February 27, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in Hendersonville on Saturday evening claimed one person’s life. The police and firefighters were notified of the accident at around 6:55 p.m. on February 24.
Preliminary reports provided by the Hendersonville Police Department show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 64 in the area near the Interstate 26 bridge. The pedestrian, identified as an adult male, was severely injured in the crash. The man was taken to Pardee Hospital before being flown to Mission Hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities confirmed that he died after arriving. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
