Motor vehicle accidents result in over 40,000 deaths nationwide every year, with a significant number of these tragic events occurring within our state. Regrettably, negligence plays a major role in many of these accidents. Key contributing factors include:
- Speeding: Going over the posted speed limit poses a serious risk, leading to loss of control, heightened collision impact, and reduced reaction time, often culminating in severe and fatal accidents.
- Drunk driving: Alcohol-induced impaired judgment and delayed reactions frequently result in deadly collisions on our state’s roads.
- Fatigue: Driver exhaustion significantly impairs cognitive function and alertness, greatly increasing the chances of fatal accidents.
