Fatal Car Accidents in South Carolina
Fatal car crashes can result in overwhelming consequences. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of collisions across the United States claimed the lives of innocent people every year. Here in South Carolina, more than 1000 people died due to vehicle collisions on our roadways. Regrettably, there are numerous instances where lives are lost due to preventable crashes. When drivers fail to operate their vehicles safely and responsibly, the consequences can be deadly. Common factors contributing to reported vehicle collisions in our state include:
- Running Red Lights/Stop Signs: Disregarding traffic signals at intersections raises the likelihood of traffic fatalities.
- Weather Conditions: Inclement weather reduces visibility and traction, leading to potentially fatal situations.
- Fatigue: Driving while too tired significantly impacts drivers’ alertness and reaction time, increasing the risk of fatal crashes.
